The Story

Daniel Lubetzky was born in Mexico City, which is known for its delicious food and vibrant culture. So it's no surprise that Daniel grew up to be a foodie and a people person. He loved to snack and chat with anyone who would listen.

But Daniel also had a serious side, thanks in part to his father's experiences as a Holocaust survivor. He believed in the power of business to promote peace and social justice. So he decided to combine his love of food and his passion for social entrepreneurship and started PeaceWorks, a company that made gourmet snacks from ingredients sourced in the Middle East.

As you can imagine, this was not an easy task. Daniel had to navigate political tensions, cultural differences, and supply chain issues to make his vision a reality. But he was undaunted. He traveled throughout the region, meeting with farmers and producers, and even helped broker a peace agreement between two Israeli and Palestinian business partners. All while snacking on his delicious products, of course.

In 2008, PeaceWorks merged with Kind LLC, a snack company based in New York. Daniel became the Executive Chairman and helped Kind become one of the fastest-growing snack companies in the world. He was also recognized for his work as a social entrepreneur and philanthropist, which is a fancy way of saying he was really good at making friends and giving away money.

Today, Daniel is still leading Kind and promoting peace and social justice. He's also a proud father of four and a lover of all things food-related.
